About TAP Centre for Creativity
Previously operating as The ARTS Project, TAP is driven to support emerging artists in multiple disciplines through quality facilities and programming. With multiple gallery spaces, a black-box theatre, multi-use workshop and co-working space, and 10 resident artist studios all under one roof, our creative hub is open for artists and the public to overlap, participate, and experience how creativity can transform us and our community.
Program Support position
​
Tasks & Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Program Support position is to collaborate with TAP’s Executive Director and staff team in the preparation and execution of initiatives and events. This includes:

This individual is responsible for implementing and facilitating all aspects of programming and events. They will participate in program development and new initiatives to assist with the growth of operations.

Engage with attendees and handle general inquiries and daily traffic to maintain a positive, inclusive environment for our patrons and users of the space.

Prepare spaces for programming, ensure materials and equipment is available. Prepare communications related to programming or operations..
-
Develop and implement goals and objectives for the volunteer program which reflect the mission of the organization, with direction from the ED
-
Recruiting, interviewing and training candidates for volunteer roles with the goal of growing the volunteer team and maintaining strong relationships with these key partners
-
Maintaining volunteer training guides, orientation manuals and code of conduct. Updating volunteer calendar (Google Calendar)

Responsible for all volunteer scheduling for front of house and event support, this includes maintaining inventory or material needs for volunteers to effectively do their job (e.g. bar inventory, bathroom, paper supplies, maintenance materials)

Responsible for effective communication with the volunteer team

Assess the need for volunteers to enhance program/service delivery

Conduct ongoing evaluation of the programs and services delivered by volunteers and implement improvements as necessary

Tracking volunteer hours and visitor tally numbers
Skills & Qualifications:
-
Post-secondary program for Business Arts or Nonprofit Management or Administration, English, Visual Art, Theatre, or another related field with 1-3 years experience in program delivery.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and confident management to build relationships with all stakeholders
-
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for efficient delivery and decision making
-
Ability to adapt to program priorities and address critical needs
-
Strong time management skills and management of program resources and content
-
Strong work ethic and ability to work both as part of a collaborative team and independently
-
A good understanding and interest in London’s arts and culture scene and TAP’s role in the creative community
-
Proficiency in Wix Web Builder and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and social media is an asset
This is a part-time position at 20 to 25 hours per week at $20 per hour with opportunity for growth. Positon will require some evening and weekend hours. Admin Support position

Tasks & Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Admin Support position is to handle the day to day tasks and communications that lead to organization growth. This includes:

Design and distribute concise communications and promotional materials for newsletters, blogs, and presentations to subscribers, stakeholders, and donors through effective storytelling and regular communications.

Proofread, update, and fact-check communication materials and web copy, ensuring a consistent brand voice in all external and internal communications.

Work across multiple channels, including web copy, social media, promotional material, presentations, reports, news releases, stories and other digital content.

Assist with grant applications, funding proposals, donor engagement, and the required reporting.
-
Coordinate with suppliers of media materials (ie. Posters, flyers, pamphlets, etc) to effectively steward the marketing budget and brand.
-
Responsible for general inquiries for events and bookings. This includes assessing event needs and drafting contracts and related booking documents.
Skills & Qualifications:
-
College or University diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field plus two years of work experience or a minimum of three years administrative or management experience in a not-for-profit organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with all stakeholders. Experience with budget development is also an asset.

Strong time management skills and analytical skills for efficient communication delivery and decision making
-
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint, as well as communication platforms like MailChimp.

Proficiency in Wix Web Builder and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is an asset.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing successful social media strategies across a variety of platforms.

Familiarity with CRM software or experience with Salesforce is an asset.

Awareness of and sensitivity to diversity and inclusion, including demonstrated experience working successfully with individuals diverse in age, culture, gender, sexual identity and abilities.
