Ronnie Clarke and Monica Joy
Our series continues online with two remarkable emerging artists in collaboration. Ronnie Clarke is an artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Clarke’s work blends elements of choreography, movement, collaboration, video and installation. She is interested in how language becomes translated and mediated through a digital lens. She explores the poetics of digital spaces; using movement she investigates how technology plays a role in our interactions with others.
Monica Joy (they/them) is a trans nonbinary, queer emerging artist residing in Treaty 6 Township, "London, ON". They are alumni of the Bealart Program, currently a resident artist working out of Good Sport Gallery. Their artistic practice focuses on growth, (co)dependency, and connection in media such as drawing, photography, ceramics, and installation.
