Lido Pimienta

Lido Pimienta is a Colombian-born interdisciplinary artist, curator and an award winning musician. She has performed, exhibited, and curated around the world since 2002, exploring the politics of gender, race, motherhood, identity and the construct of the Canadian landscape in the Latin American diaspora and vernacular. Pimienta draws from the experience of motherhood and immigration while creating emotional and physical weavings of multi-layered art techniques that invoke curiosity, humour, love and freedom.
