Craig Guthrie
Craig Guthrie is an active and dedicated member of London, Ontario’s arts community, pursuing mastery across multiple disciplines. Originally from Guelph, he now proudly calls London home. For two decades, Craig served as the Senior Scenic Artist at the Grand Theatre, where he honed a keen eye for detail, texture, and the dramatic interplay of light and shadow. These skills profoundly inform his studio practice, which is based at the TAP Centre for Creativity.
Though best known for his realistic paintings of leaves and fruit, Craig’s artistic expression extends into the tactile realm of ceramics. He finds a complementary creative rhythm in working with clay at the pottery wheel. This dual practice reveals an artist dedicated to exploring the essence of form, whether captured on canvas or shaped by hand.
