About The Event
Instructor: Ruth Douthwright
In these workshops we will practice a wide range of rhythms, steps, gestures, movement qualities, sounds and spatial formations inspired by dances and music from here and there. Dance offers numerous ways of knowing and becoming as our senses, time and space interact and entangle. The process of learning and practicing dances and songs from other times and places provides a multitude of new experiences; one can engage on many levels, discovering unique relations with time, space, self and other. This is a public workshop that is available through LDN Convergence, a two-week long multidisciplinary artist residency here at TAP.
