Tinkerspace Play Labs

Tinkerspace Play Labs is a reading series where your feedback is used to help local playwrights develop their work.

A group of local actors will be reading two new plays: Shubunkin by Erin J. Walker and Maggie's Travelling Mystery Show by Richard Nagel. After each reading, we will open up a discussion and ask for your feedback on the play. The playwrights will use this feedback to improve their work and create a stage-ready final draft!

Maggie's Travelling Mystery Show

Rita longs to join the travelling players who cross the burning wastelands each year to perform for her village. Maggie, the aging star of the show, desperately wants to quit, but can’t until she finds a replacement. When Rita accepts Maggie’s invitation to audition, she faces a series of tests that bring her closer and closer to the danger at the heart of the mystery show.
