Instructor: Paul Abeleira

Location: Various (Studio 3D rain option)

Come learn the art of painting the landscape out in the open air, also known as “plein air.” Visiting the parks within walking distance from TAP Centre for Creativity, we will discuss how to simplify and edit the array of information when faced with painting a landscape on sight. We will then learn how to block in major shapes using a single tone, then develop these shapes using opaque colour. Finally we will practise rendering effects to bring skies, trees, grass, water and more to life using a variety of brush handling techniques.
