About The Event
Is painting in a realistic style a struggle for you? Do you ever wonder why your picture often starts strong, but goes sour half way through? Often the colors look great, but the overall result “just doesn’t look right.” In this four week course, we will examine techniques in paint handling to improve the quality of your works and take them to that convincing finish you are after. We will take a close examination of rhythm of application and various brush maneuvers that will make textures like metal, glass and other still life subject matter come to life on canvas. Each night, students will leave with a small completed painting along with the tools needed to make every picture a success.
