About The Event

In this 4-week course, we will explore the processes and techniques of the 17th century Masters. Beginning with a monochromatic underpainting, students will advance their paintings with glazing to introduce color, then advance their work with modeling, dragging and impasto to create lifelike effects in oil paint. Through demonstrations by the instructor and practice at the easel, students will not only gain confidence in their own painting performance, but will also leave with the knowledge of proper use of materials to keep their works vibrant for lifetimes.
