About The Event
Good drawing fundamentals are an essential tool for all artists. This 3-week program is designed for beginners, as well as those who wish to improve their drawing skills. Using graphite, students will learn how to draw what they see by observing still life objects. Techniques in perspective, line, shading, and value will be demonstrated and explored through exercises and practice work. Students will develop a solid drawing foundation and be more confident in their skills.

$135 + materials
Maximum of 10 students
Materials:
- Graphite pencils: HB, 2B, 4B, 8B
- Kneadable eraser
- Gum eraser
- Drawing pad, 24”x 18”
- Newsprint pad, 24”x18”
About the Instructor:
Awadh Baryoum, an Ethiopian-born Canadian artist, was raised and educated through university in Aden, Yemen. He holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in the United States. Baryoum is a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship and a research grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. His works have been widely exhibited in the United States.
