About The Event
In this new course, artists will learn about the 2 ways to paint in oils. Oil paint is an organic, nearly omniscient medium. One can apply paint in layers allowed to dry between each one (indirect) or in one wet layer (direct). A must for any beginner, this class will help you decide which approach best suits you. We will uncover topics such as brush handling, uses of mediums, underpainting and glazing. More experienced painters will also benefit from this course as we will execute still life set ups entirely from life. Areas of discussion will focus on brush handling, staying fresh and simplifying.
