About The Event

Our April Connect on TAP theme is B.L.A.S.T.  (Bringing London Artists & Students Together).  Learn about our creative hub, meet our staff, and participate in an Ask/Give/Announce. You do not have to be currrently enrolled at a school to attend. The evening will also feature a presentation and activity for Something From Everything.

Something From Everything is a collaborative project featuring the work of Western students and the London community. With guidance and mentorship from Tap Centre for Creativity, this project aims to reimagine our relationship with everyday items, to bring the junk in our lives to life, and to inspire sustainable refurbishment.

This project is a response to the climate crisis and the overconsumption patterns in today’s society. We wanted to explore ways that the objects currently existing in our homes could be recycled and reused, rather than forgotten or wasted.

The process itself was a practice in mindfulness and living in the moment as we creatively explored new ways to breathe life into our old objects.

We hope this project helps you see your everyday objects in a new light, and allows you to embrace a gentler style of living.
