About The Event

Join us for the release of two new chapbooks, Civilian of Dirt by Kit Roffey and swing, swing by Alex Chappell.

The poems in Kit Roffey's debut chapbook, Civilian of Dirt, are a lucid and finely crafted as they are intensely felt.

The stories in Alex Chappell's swing, swing explore the loves and losses of their characters, finding solace in the fact that pain, heartbreak, and healing are universal.

Kit Roffey is a queer writer. They hold a BA in English and Cultural Studies from Huron at Western University. Their work has appeared in Prairie Fire, Vallum, Event, and Existere among others. This is their first collection. They can be found on Instagram @poetry_kit and are always happy to talk writing, or debate the best pen brands, boygenius songs, and coffee orders.
