About The Event

Celebrate the release of Shane Neilson's memoir Saving, from Great Plains Publications, and Shannon Arntfield's debut poetry chapbook Fallen Horseman, from Anstruther Press. Tuesday June 20th, 7:00pm at TAP Centre for Creativity.

About the Authors

Shane Neilson is a mad/autistic poet, physician, and scholar. His creative and academic work concerns disability, neurodivergence, and madness. Shane is the executive director of the first disability poetics festival in Canada. Saving is a memoir about fatherhood, illness, and family. He lives in Guelph, Ontario.

Shannon Arntfield is a second-career trauma informed therapist and poet, who turned to writing and psychological care in response to her lived experience as a child-mother-daughter and physician. Fallen Horseman describes some of her experiences as an ob/gyn. She lives in London, Ontario.
