2020 was a particularly difficult year. TAP had to shut down, which eliminated our programs and revenue but we found innovative ways to deliver programming to support the arts community.

WHAT YOUR DONATION DOES

Your contribution will support our vision for a creative hub where art, performance and experimentation are the spark for a diverse and connected community. No commitment is too small so you have the option to choose a one-time and monthly contribution amount that fits your budget to help us sustain our work to support creatives in our community.

HERE IS HOW WE ADAPTED OUR PROGRAMMING TO SAFELY SUPPORT CREATIVITY IN 2020:

  • We shared, shared , shared and shared the work of amazing local artists through social media.

  • Found new ways to help artists learn through mini art demos online and adapted a new cohort structure to return  to weekly in-person Figure Drawing sessions.

  • Created safe ways to view our exhibitions. Starting with virtual exhibitions and expanding to exhibition tours with the artist for small groups in our gallery.

  • Made it easier to access studio spaces to work. With 2 new short term residencies.

  • Developed initiatives with the creative community to promote their work and make it easier for Londoners to find local creatives.

WHAT DOES 2021 LOOK LIKE FOR TAP?

Well... a lot of change and in many ways.

We are making room! With the commitments of funding partners, our basement and theatre spaces are being renovated to provide new co-working studio and learning spaces. Through this investment we can deliver new creation and learning opportunities.

This year, we've done as much as we could with our limited resources. To achieve our goals in 2021 we need your support to help us gain the stability and resources to give artists access to studio space, learning experiences, networking events, exhibition space and paid presentation opportunities.
