Connor's artistic practice is based in conceptually driven sculpture and focuses on the deconstruction of objects for the purpose of examining their inherent associations. Languages are derived from different combinations of properties and are altered to begin to reconstruct meaning. While driven conceptually, Connor finds balance in the satisfaction of a making process and strives to maintain a sense of harmony between intellectual gratification, experimentation, aesthetic pleasure and craftsmanship.
Connor is from London and attended Fanshawe College where he received an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts. Following which he continued on the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Art. Alongside his artistic practice he has developed a passion for gallery operations, collections management and arts related archives.
